WILLOW WOODS BARN + STUDIO, MANSFIELD TX

CHELSEA + TONY

February 23, 2023

A dream is a wish your heart makes…. literally. This wedding is one of the “dream weddings” that actually came to life. While these photos are DREAMY , there are some moments where the photos do the bride injustice. She WAS a princess. Chelsea looked absolutely stunning in her dress. She was a real-life Cinderella.

Chelsea and Tony are Disney lovers if it isn’t obvious already. In matter of fact, Tony proposed to Chelsea in Disney World. They dressed up as Rapunzel and Flynn Rider from the movie Tangled, and under the dark sky, and under the beautiful floating lanterns , he proposed. If that isn’t the most dreamiest way to get proposed I have no idea what is.

Now, back to the big day. This sweet couple decided to have their wedding at Willow Woods Barn + Studio located at Mansfield, Texas. While the outside of the venue has beautiful forestry and a grand pond with a fountain, they were NOT lovers of nature or the outdoors. Even though they were insistent on taking photos just inside, I convinced them that I would take photos that didn’t give a nature feel because the light outside was too spectacular not to use. The couple are more than IN LOVE with the photos. I used the surrounding areas of the actual venue to help create a more urban feel to the photos which contrasted beautifully with her elegant dress.

My favorite photos, however, were in front of a white paneled wall right next to the front door. The light coming in gave a soft light that made the couple GLOW. While a white wall might seem plain, it gave the soft, in-love vibes that created the “princess” feel to the photos and helped Tony’s suit stand out.

My most favorite detail about Chelsea and Tony’s wedding were the FLOWERS. Chelsea ordered wooden flowers. If you don’t know what wooden flowers are, I highly recommend you check them out. Wooden flowers have the realistic look and texture of flowers but they DO NOT die. Chelsea used the flowers for everything. She did the florals and bouquets herself. The greatest thing is that Chelsea will be able to keep her bouquet without worrying about preserving it.

The CUTEST thing about this wedding in particular is that Chelsea incorporated a scene of Cinderella’s wedding. Chelsea dressed her flower girls as the blue birds from the Cinderella wedding, and when she came down the aisle, her little “birdies” flapped as they helped carry her long veil. SOOOOOO CUTE.

Finally, the most ICONIC moment. The shoe. We were able to get Tony to pose for putting her shoe on which really gave the most magical touch to this wedding , and he really gave Chelsea her moment. Props to Tony for helping Chelsea feel like an ACTUAL princess.
